Owed vs Collect

Collect and Owed both match you with class action settlements, point you to the official claim form and leave the filing to you. Collect is a subscription-only app and website covering the US, Canada and Australia; Owed is a web app with a free settlements directory and one flat paid membership. Here's how they compare as of October 2026.

TL;DR

Pick Collect if you want an iPhone or Android app, or settlements in Canada or Australia, and you're fine paying before you see your matches. Pick Owed if you want to browse open settlements free first, then pay one flat price for matching, reminders and tracking.

Our verdict

Collect and Owed agree on two important things: neither files claims for you, and neither takes a cut of your payout. As of October 2026, Collect's advantages are real. It has iPhone and Android apps with high star ratings, it covers Canada and Australia as well as the US, and some of its yearly App Store entries start at $29.99. If you want a phone app or you live outside the US, Collect is the better fit.

Owed's case is seeing before you pay. Collect's Terms say there is no free tier, and the most common complaint in its written App Store reviews is a paywall after the questions. With Owed you can browse the settlements directory free, and Owed Pro is $2 for the first week, then $49 per year — one flat membership. Owed never takes a percentage of any payout. Both have a year-end check if payouts fall short of fees: Collect's covers website subscribers with at least one claim recorded, while Owed's covers annual plans with at least 10 valid claims submitted through Owed and refunds the difference. Other conditions apply to both. We built Owed, so weigh that accordingly; filing directly with a settlement administrator is always free.
