Our verdict

ClaimWise has real advantages over Owed today. As of October 2026 it's on both the App Store and Google Play, it's published by Sensor Tower, which says it was founded in 2013, and its store ratings are strong at 4.6 and 4.4. It also says it searches all 50 states for unclaimed property inside the same app. If you want a phone app from an established company, ClaimWise wins that comparison.

Owed is the better fit if you want to know the price before you start and would rather not link an inbox to get matches. ClaimWise shows no price on its website, and its privacy policy lets Sensor Tower use anonymized data commercially. Owed Pro is $2 for the first week, then $49 per year — one flat membership. Owed never takes a percentage of any payout. We built Owed, so weigh our view accordingly, and remember that filing directly with a settlement administrator is always free.
